The General Dental Council is our regulatory body. The GDC standards are adhered to by all Dental professionals in the practice and all qualified staff are registered with the GDC. This can be verified via the GDC Website www.gdc-uk.org. All our team regularly attend courses to ensure our knowledge is relevant and current. We are registered with the Care Quality Commision. BDS MFGDP (UK) DPDS DRDP
John qualified from Newcastle University (UK) in 1996 and prior to establishing Delph Dental Practice worked in Ilkeston and Nottingham. After leaving university John gained his MFGDP qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998. He successfully graduated, alongside Laura, with the University of Bristol’s Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 2003 . This course involved 3 years of postgraduate study.
John then spent 3 years in part time study at the Eastman Dental Institute at UCL in London and graduated with a Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice in 2010.
John is interested in all aspects of general practice, with particular emphasis on restorative dentistry and dentures.
John is very keen for his patients to maintain their own teeth for the long term, with the minimum of intervention where possible. He also enjoys visiting local schools and groups to promote the importance of a healthy mouth and providing education on oral health.
Away from work, John enjoys keeping fit and playing badminton. He enjoys watching live music and sport, and spending time with Laura and their 3 kids.

Laura qualified from Newcastle-upon-Tyne (UK) in 1998 gaining her degree with honours and a merit in child dental health. After leaving university Laura worked at 2 practices in Derby and gained a Denplan Excel accreditation in one of these posts. Laura also achieved the DPDS from Bristol with John in 2003. Particular interests are in gum health and maintaining healthy mouths with minimal interventions. Having worked at Delph Dental practice since its opening in 2002, Laura has enjoyed treating the multi generations the practice looks after. It is important to Laura that visiting the dentist shouldn’t be intimidating and she strives to create a calm surgery experience.
Out of work, Laura and John have 3 kids, and a Jack Russel they all adore. She is a yoga fan, an enthusiastic but poor tennis player and loves the theatre and a good box set!

Claire qualified as a dentist from Newcastle University in 2005 and joined our team in December 2021. Claire also enjoys having Qualified Teacher Status; having worked previously in secondary school education in the field of Chemistry including teaching A-Level. Since university, Claire has worked in dental practices in and around the Nottingham/Derby area and has developed a particular interest in oral surgery, treating anxious adults and children and general dentistry at large.
Claire's approach is one centred on creating a warm and welcoming environment in what, for some, can be an understandably stressful and overwhelming experience.
Claire endeavours to go the extra mile to ensure patients feel safe, relaxed and are fully-informed as to their treatment plan. She believes passionately about listening to and engaging with patients.

Rikita qualified from Manchester University in 2020 and joined out team in February 2022. Rikita is a warm and welcoming dentist who loves to make every patient feel comfortable.
Her aim is to change people's perspective of dentistry as one which is very pleasant and enjoyable and will go above and beyond to do this, tailoring her approach to each individuals needs.
In her spare time Rikita loves to spend time with friends and family and loves to travel. She looks forward to meeting you all!

Sat qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2020. Sat enjoys working as a general dentist where he provides care in all aspects of dentistry, including aesthetic and cosmetic treatments on both front and back teeth.
Sat completed his Invisalign training in March 2020 which provides patients the option to improve both the function and aesthetics of their teeth and smile. Invisalign is a clear and removable alternative to fixed braces in most cases; and works to straighten misaligned teeth with the aid of advanced digital software- which can show you the steps of your journey before even starting.
Sat enjoys taking his time to educate his patients on how to improve and maintain their oral health so that each individual has their own tailored experience; helping them to feel comfortable and at ease.
Outside of work Sat enjoys walking his dog, spending time with his family and keeping active through a variety of exercise.

Amy has been with the practice since 2014. Amy is a qualified dental nurse, who you may see working from time to time in surgery, reception or the decontamination room. She has additional diplomas in management and a degree. She also has other qualifications including risk assessment and health and safety.
Amy is responsible for the smooth running of the practice and to ensure we comply with all the relevant regulations, to the highest standard. Amy enjoys work and is proud of the team at Delph Dental Practice. In her spare time Amy enjoys spending time with her husband, son, stepchildren and dogs.

Marie joined the practice in 2008 having worked in retail since she had left school. Marie achieved her certificate in dental nursing in 2010, having studied at Burton College. Marie works mainly in surgery. Marie's favourite past time outside of work is spending time with her family, she has 2 daughters who she is devoted to and are her world. When Marie gets time to herself, she enjoys watching television, especially the soaps. She enjoys sitting down to watch a good film and every now and again reading a good book.

Abbie is a qualified dental nurse and joined us from school. She has been with the practice since 2010 and has proved a very valuable and able member of the team. Abbie works in both surgery and on reception, she will usually be one of the first people you might speak to when you contact us and she maintains the smooth running of reception throughout most days of the week.
Abbie enjoys interacting with patients, creating a friendly rapport to ensure they feel at ease during their visit to the practice. Outside of work Abbie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, enjoys dining out and going on holiday, lots of holidays!!

Chloe joined the practice in October 2015 and qualified in February 2018. Chloe enjoys working on reception and in surgery. She loves to interact with patients and strives to make them feel more comfortable, especially when patients are nervous. Chloe gets great job satisfaction from putting patients at ease and making their experience more pleasurable. Chloe brings a lot of fun to the practice, whilst being an integral part of making the team work. Chloe loves working at the practice as she enjoys working as a team and she describes her work colleagues as a family. Outside of work Chloe enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Mona joined the practice in October 2023, after working in childcare and education over the last 10 years. She recently just moved into my first new home in Burton upon Trent, and have always wanted to become a dental nurse. I am studying to become a dental nurse at derby royal hospital. I enjoy baking, swimming and spending time with family.
Alisha works hard to maintain the cleanliness here and does it well. She enjoys going on holiday where the sun shines for some rest and relaxation. She also has a big heart looking after her husband cats and puppies.
